46% of car accidents arose from tire problems in China
According to the statistics from the Transportation Administration Department of China, every year 46% of car accidents that happen on freeways in China are caused by tire problems. And 70% of the tire problems during car accidents are the tires blowout. Also, another study shows the possibility of death would arise if the 160kms moving vehicles encounter tire blowout problems.
tires may get too hot and result in a blowout.
The underinflated issue is the main cause of tire blowouts. If the tire pressure is lower than the recommended tire pressure in the car user manual, the friction between the tires and the ground would be greater as long as the tire pressure goes down. Also, the tire would be overheated, and softer. Under this circumstance, the tire blowout probably occurs during high-speed driving. Low-speed driving with underinflated tires would also damage the tires. The damage to tires is less apparent, more dangerous, and also the cause of possible blowouts when in high-speed driving.
